LOVE for AR Lenoble Rosé Terroirs : Wine Spectator, Wine & Spirits, Wine Enthusiast, Tyson Stelzer, Le Figaro…

Wine Spectator : 92 points —  “Firm, almost crunchy in texture, this fresh rosé Champagne is lightly spiced and minerally, offering saline-laced flavors of dried white cherry, slivered almond, blood orange pith and lemon thyme. Satiny finish. Drink now through 2022.”

Wine & Spirits : 90 points — “Mostly chardonnay from the Grand Cru village of Chouilly, with eight percent pinot noir, this is a rich and toasty rosé. It’s copper-pink in color and carries the fresh flavor of strawberries dusted with sugar, bright and a little citrusy. The chalky abrasion of Cote des Blancs acidity integrates into a lovely tension with the fruit, bringing you back for another taste.”

Wine Enthusiast : 90 points — “Produced from Chardonnay with the addition of red wine from Pinot Noir, this crisp, dry wine is well balanced. Its beautifully perfumed character is balanced by bright acidity and hints of maturity. The wine is ready to drink.”

Tyson Stelzer : 91 points —  “Lenoble’s pinot noir and meunier are too rich too stand alone as a rosé, so the house tactically calls upon the structure and fresh acid drive of its Chouilly chardonnay to take a confident lead. This release has maintained the medium copper salmon hue of when I first tasted it two years ago, though its momentary fanfare of tangelo, candied strawberry, red cherry and musk have now vaporized, making way for characterful and savoury style of creamy mouthfeel and tomato complexity over a core of wild strawberries with a hint of balsamic. Chardonnay upholds its decisive lead in grapefruit focus articulated through the discreetly handled texture of a glimpse of oak. It concludes elegant, focussed and fine, thanks to the tension and fine chalk mineral structure of Chouilly.”

Le Figaro : 16/20 — “The low dosage of this champagne (3g/l) highlights the purity and precision of the wine conducted by 92% chardonnay from the Grand Cru village of Chouilly. Premier Cru pinot noir from Bisseuil brings structure to this very focussed, delicate, chiselled, precious and aromatic champagne.”
