From the December 2016 issue, we are honored that two of our wines have been reviewed for the first time so positively by Wine & Spirits Magazine in New York!
AR Lenoble Champagne Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly Vintage 2008 – 92 points
“The cool, late 2008 season shows in this brisk chardonnay from Chouilly. A small proportion (20 percent) of the blend was vinified in oak, adding a hint of vanilla to support the fresh pear and apple flavors. There’s also a springtime scent of orange blossoms carried on the mineral acidity. A wine of clarity and length, this is made to serve with food, like an oyster pan roast.”
AR Lenoble Champagne Brut Cuvée Gentilhomme Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly Vintage 2009 – 90 points
“Anne and Antoine Malassagne select this wine from their chardonnay vines in Chouilly and vinify it in oak. For now, the barrel influence is clear in the wine’s tannic, umami tones and oak scents. With time it begins to reveal herbal notes of sage and hints of lemon and lobster broth, suggesting that this is an ambitious wine that will benefit from cellar time.”
