If you are a wine trade professional or journalist, you are warmly invited to this prestigious UK champagne event of 2019. Now in its fourth year, New Wave Champagne at Club 67 Pall Mall showcases boutique houses and small family domaines (‘grower’ champagnes) whom we believe represent an elite of quality. Entry to trade and press is by confirmed registration and ticket only: info@scalawine.com

These producers sit at the top in Champagne for a reason. They dare to be different. They are changing champagne. They are transforming the way grapes are grown and wines are made, often sustainable, organic or biodynamic, adding purity, finesse and the character of terroirs and vine parcels to the flavours of their wines.

There is no manifesto, no New Wave marketing organisation. But these houses and growers make what they do more transparent, because ‘glitz and glam’ and silence about how the wines are made is no longer enough for discerning champagne lovers. They are claiming champagne’s place as ‘fine wine’.

Over 75 cuvées will be on show at this walk-around tasting, including the following from AR Lenoble:

AR Lenoble Intense « mag 15 »

AR Lenoble Brut Nature Dosage Zéro « mag 14 »

AR Lenoble Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly « mag 15 »

AR Lenoble Rosé Terroirs Chouilly-Bisseuil

AR Lenoble Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Chouilly Vintage 2008

Tim Hall, Director of Scala Wine, London, is consultant for this event, in association with Club 67 Pall Mall.
