New Guide Book takes readers on a 5-star tasting journey around Champagne! Introducing Essi Avellan’s Champagne: A Guide for Champagne Lovers and Gourmet Travellers

Essi Avellan’s Champagne : A Guide for Champagne Lovers and Gourmet Travellers

Thirsting to know more and more, Essi kept returning to Champagne. Based on her personal experience, she shares with the reader the essentials of 65 estates she appreciates. Additionally, she introduces her favourite restaurants, wine shops and hotels in the region. Also the Champenois, winemakers and cellar masters, share their insider tips on how to make the most of the time in Champagne.

Falling in love with a certain wine makes you want to travel to its birthplace to see, feel and experience the region. The inclusion of ‘Champagne hillsides, houses and cellars’ on the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites in 2015 has been a major step both for Champagne and for the champagne tourist and has significantly increased investments in tourism, culture and environment across the region.

Looking ahead, Essi is positive that Champagne will be an even more attractive place to visit. Her book is intended to be an easy-to-use guide to the region she loves and its finest wines.
