The Champagne Bureau is the educational and promotional arm of the Comité Champagne. Here is a word from from Françoise Peretti, Director of the UK Champagne Bureau:

10.30 – 11.30 Round table 1: Sustainable development first in Champagne

Pierre Naviaux currently works as an environmental engineer in the technical department of Comité Champagne. Pierre has advised a large number of companies on how to measure and decrease their environmental foot print. He graduated from INSA Lyon engineering school and EOI Madrid.

12.00 – 13.00 Round table 2: Mastering oxygen in Champagne wine-making

Hosted by Delphine Goffette

Delphine Goffette is an agronomic engineer and oenologist who has joined the Comité Champagne team in 2011 and is currently working as a project manager in Oenology. Delphine was trained at AgroParistech and SupAgro in Montpellier, France.

14.00 – 15.00 Masterclass 1: The role of dosage in Champagne-making

Conducted by Patrick Schmitt MW

Patrick Schmitt MW, editor-in-chief at the drinks business, also chairs the publication’s annual awards programme, including The Drinks Business Awards for product innovations and environmental initiatives, as well as the magazine’s Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Champagne and Rioja Masters, for which he heads up a tasting panel of wine experts. He became a Master of Wine in March 2015.
